Born in Danielsville, she was a daughter of the late Collier B. Nix and Ruby Chandler Nix. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ed Christian and her daughter, Lisa Clark.
Survivors include her second husband, Rev. Robert Whitehead; daughter, Debbie Freeman and numerous grandchildren and other family and friends
