Dennis “Fish” Ray Meadows, 62, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. A son of William Benton Meadows and Johnnie Laverne (Turner) Meadows, he was born June 30, 1958, in Russellville.

Dennis worked for more than 30 years as an area inspector with the USDA. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and spent many enjoyable times hunting and fishing. He was a member of Oakland Heights Assembly of God where he grew in his faith and relationship with God.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father; a brother, David Meadows; his father-in-law, Harold Gregory, and mother-in-law, Shirley Gregory; and, two brothers-in-law, Michael Gregory and Jerry Holt.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Meadows; a daughter Jackie Duffel (Mikey) of Russellville; two grandchildren, Christopher & Rayleigh Duffel of Russellville; his mother, Johnnie Meadows of Russellville; a sister, Linda Jones (John Henry) of Russellville; two brothers, Eddie Meadows (Brenda) of Russellville, and Scott Meadows (Carol) of Dover; a sister-in-law, Velma Meadows of Dover; two aunts, Lily Meadows of Dover and Elaine Hagar of Van Buren; an uncle, Robert Turner (Virginia) of Hector; his special canine companion, Boo Boo; many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of colleagues & friends.

A graveside service and burial will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 2:00PM, at Shannon Cemetery in Treat, Arkansas, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Roy Chisum will officiate. Pallbearers include nephews David Meadows, Jayme Meadows, Jeff George, Marshal Watson, Turner Meadows, and son-in-law, Mikey Duffel. Honorary pallbearers include Dustin Wiliker and Chuck Freeman.
