Mr. Leon Smith, age 73, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born on September 22, 1947 in Cullman, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Ervin (Annie Mae Boone) Smith. He was married to Mrs. Judy Ann (Ellis) Smith for 51 years. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic for C.W. Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin (Annie Mae Boone) Smith and his siblings, Mrs. Jerry Dotson, Mr. Billy Smith, Mr. Donald Ray Smith, Mrs. JoAnn Smith, Mrs. Sandra Kay Easley, Mrs. Dorothy Edwards and Mr. James Smith.
Leon is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Judy Smith; his son, Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Hannah) Smith; his grandchildren, Haleigh Smith and Mackenzie Smith; his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Mandy) Smith; his brother, Mr. Bennie Smith; nieces and nephews and his baby, Sammy.
Funeral Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Mr. Grant Pitts officiating.
Mr. Smith will be cremated following the service.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. All visitations will be held at Benson Funeral Home.
