Businessman. He was the founder of the "H.B. Reese Candy Company", whose most famous product eventually became the "Reese's Peanut Butter Cup". Entering candy manufacturing business in Hershey, Pennsylvania around 1917, by the mid-1920s he started to make an item called "peanut butter cups". Due to sugar shortages during World War II he dropped other items the company had produced and concentrate on the peanut butter cup item. Six years after his death in 1962 the company was sold to Hershey Chocolate Company for 23.5 million dollars. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup is Hershey's most popular candy bar and is the second biggest such seller in the United States.
