LITTLE HOCKING - James Elden Burkhart, 61, formerly of Little Hocking, died Feb. 15, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born at Weston, a son of the late James Mason Burkhart and Geraldine Jarvis Burkhart of Belpre. He was formerly vice president of United National Bank, member of United Commercial Travelers and a member of American Legion Post 15. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Little Hocking Fellowship Chapel.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Larry A. Burkhart of Belpre; a daughter, Pamela Louise Pitser of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Jerry Burkhart and Gary Burkhart, both of Belpre; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Burkhart.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Janice Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3554 of Harrisville. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
