Services for Herbert 0. Schull, 78, Route 4, who died Monday evening at home, will be Thursday at 11 am. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Rev. Michael D. McGowan officiating. Burial will be in Decoria Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson-Boman Mortuary and one hour before the services at the
church.
He was born Feb. 4, 1900, in Decoria Township to Henry and Ida [Kirchofer] Schull. He married Lillian Herzberg Sept. 6, 1933, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a member of the school board of District i16. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served on the church board many years. He farmed many years and was a lifelong resident of Decoria Township.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Marvin, St. Clair, and Gerald, Becker; a daughter, Marlene Schultz, St. Clair; two sisters, Ella Boehland, Route 4, and Martha Jaeger, Mapleton; a brother, Edwin, Route 4; 11 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
