NORTHPORT Gwendolyn Faye Green Woods, age 51, of Northport, died Oct. 20, 2007, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Kelley Jolly and Bruce Smart officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, David G. Woods, Jr.; sons, Jerry Elias Boothe, Jr. (Torey) of Bibb County and Chadwick Adam Boothe (Ashley) of Bibb County, and their father, Jerry Elias Boothe, Sr. of Bibb County; brothers, James Ronald Green of Northport and Rickey Lane Green of Cottondale; grandchildren, Nick Duncan and Eli Boothe; and parents, James Robert Green and Gladys M. High of Cottondale.

Gwen was an outgoing, loving person. She graduated from Holt High School in 1974. She was employed at one time by Pruitt Forest Lumber Company of Northport and Pritchett Moore, Inc. of Tuscaloosa and was presently employed with Warrior Asphalt. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, and she loved her animals, Harley, Bella, Dixie, Chopper, and Little Carmella.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Green, Brian Green, Micheal Green, Curtis Bale, Garry Robbins, and Jay Rice.

Honorary pallbearers are employees of Warrior Asphalt, Hunt Oil Co., Warrior Associates, nurses and staff of DCH Regional Medical Center and Trauma ICU, Dr. McKenzie, the Cottondale community, friends of Norris Circle in Cottondale and Compass Drive in Northport, and all cousins, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
