Natalie May Purcell Howell, 86, and formerly of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. Born Dec. 16, 1910 in Belmont, she was the daughter of the late Robert Brunton and Fannie Pearl Hill Purcell. She was the widow of William B. Howell. She was a former member of the Harrodsburg Woman's Club and the Progressive Homemakers. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church and the St. Philip's Women's Guild. Survivors include: a son, William B. Howell Jr. of Lincolnshire, IL; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Brown and Mrs. Marjorie Becker, both of Louisville, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Howell. Memorial funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with the Rev. D. William Faupel officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
