A social butterfly, she and classmates formed a fund for flowers that was sent to classmates who passed away. She was on the first cheer squad at Strong, but more than that loved playing Strong basketball. Dorothy worked for Safeway Grocery for over 18 years. She loved everyone in her community and was the first to show up at your door with a nice meal. She was always laughing and smiling and was a kind soul who loved people. She was an excellent cook and homemaker.
Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Sheila Curtis(Richard), and sons, Brad Watson & Mark Watson.; her namesake and niece, Dorothy Ekberg; grandchildren Clay, Melinda Betsy, Chay; great-grandchildren Emma, Will, Harley, & Presley as well as a host of extended relatives, friends, & neighbors.
A family Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 Friday, March 12th at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
