Thomas Glenn Dean Jr. 81, passed away March 8th 2021 early morning in his home surrounded by family in Machesney Park, IL. He was born on June 5, 1939 in Dunbar Pennsylvania to Mary and Thomas Dean Sr. He married the love of his life Rose, on February 10, 1984. Thomas served his country in the United States Army for 4 years. He eventually retired from Rockford Blacktop. Thomas enjoyed watching football and NASCAR racing. He collected dinky cars and Corgi Cars. He was always willing to be there and help his family. He is survived by his loving wife; Rose, children; Tony (Mary) Dean, Barbara Lavaie, Kimberly (Harry) Porterfield, and Darlene (Pat) Galk, step children; Donna Mankinen, and Dennis Smith Sr, siblings; Gilbert (Nancy) Dean, Daniel (Linda) Dean, Hilda Dolan, Susan (George) Miller, Betty Felentzer, and Vie (Jim)Coliny. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends and neighbors whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Thomas Dean Sr, sisters; Theresa Fike, and Audrey Morrison, brother; Joseph Dean, and step son Donald Smith.
