Danny Mitch Hayes, 48 passed away December 25, 2020. Funeral Service with Military honors will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 6p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4p.m. until 6p.m.
Mitch grew up in Marshall County. He attended Albertville High School and was in the graduating class of 1990 at Geraldine High School. He later graduated from Gadsden State Community College in 2005 with a degree in nursing. He worked as a Registered Nurse and served as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Army Reserve. Mitch served 18 months on active duty deployed to Iraq during 2006-2007. Mitch was a loving and devoted husband, father, “PawPaw Mitch”, son, son in law, brother, and uncle. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Tenli Claire and Kodi Blaire Hayes; and his mother, Lynette Hayes.

He is survived by his wife; Amy Harris Hayes of Attalla; daughter, Kelsey Hayes of Attalla; father, Danny Hayes of Attalla (formerly of Albertville); sister and brother in law, Crystal and Chris Watkins of Geraldine and sister in law, Amanda Harris of Attalla; father and mother in law, Bobby and Vickie Harris of Attalla; nieces, Danni Lynn Watkins and Hayden Smith; nephews, Christopher Watkins and Caleb Smith; grandson, Andre Caldwell; granddaughters, Tenli and Satori Horton.

Flowers will be accepted but the family also request that if you have had COVID and feel led, please consider donating lifesaving plasma in Mitch’s honor.

Honorary Pallbearers will be The 108 Battalion Chemical 3rd Brigade Army Reserve Unit.
