Thomas, the son of Lawrence J. and Judy I. (Newman) Fox, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.

Tom grew up in Lansing, attending the Church of the Resurrection School and graduating from Lansing Catholic Central High School where he excelled in football and basketball. Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1979, which included 7 months overseas before returning to McGuire Air Force Base in New Hanover, NJ. Returning home, Tom worked at Sparrow Hospital for a short time. He later joined the Skilled Trades and worked as an Electrician.

Tom was a deeply religious man and was very active in the Knights of Columbus. He served as the Grand Knight of both the Msgnr John A. Gabriels Knights of Columbus, Council #11099, the Grand Knight of the St. Casimir Knights of Columbus #9711 and served as the Faithful Navigator of The Lansing Assembly Council #3334 of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Tom was also well known for his philanthropic work. For several years he chaired the Fruit Sales for the Knights of Columbus.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. and Judy I. Fox.

Tom is survived by his brother, Steve (special friend, Louanne Scripter) Fox, his sister, Carol (Mike) McVicker, nieces and nephews, Jamie (Ryan) Schingeck, Jennifer (Brett) Bueter, Ryan McVicker; great niece, Madeline Bueter, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, East Lansing, MI, with Rev. Fr. Gordon Reigle as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at church followed by a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Chalice Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sparrow Foundation, Lansing, MI or the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, Ann Arbor, MI
