Obituary
To Earth
Dwayne Nathaniel Williams was born on September 11, 1962 to Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Harry (Rosemary) Williams. This Savannah native was a proud Bulldog as part of the Alfred Ely Beach High School class of 1980. While in high school, Dwayne was active in the chorus and played trumpet in the marching band. He attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia for two years after high school and sang in the Morris Brown Choir.

Under the leadership of Rev. R. L. Lee at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, Dwayne was saved and baptized. Goodwill was Dwayne's home church and there he spoke at services, sang in the gospel choir, played bass guitar, was an avid Sunday School attendee, and attended Vacation Bible School. He traveled on church trips to destinations including Sea World, King's Dominion, Disney World, and Six Flags. Dwayne attended Union Branch Baptist Church for a short while and sang in the choir.

Dwayne was no stranger to hard work. He was a server and manager at the Chart House for years. Dwayne also delivered healthcare and medical equipment for Hospice Savannah and Len Care. Much of Dwayne's career was spent employed with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System as a custodian and in Maintenance Operations.

Dwayne married Belinda Gail Williams on December 7, 1989. Belinda passed just a few years later in 1994. Dwayne later married Beverly Chung on June 27, 2015 and became a father to Alana and Alan.

Dwayne's father, Nathaniel Harry Williams; his grandparents, Harry Williams and Ophelia Wilson-Williams and Elijah and Ruth Wright Odom; his uncle, Eric Odom, Sr.; and his aunt, Beatrice Odom preceded him in death.

To Eternity
After giving his all to fight complications from Covid-19, Dwayne Nathaniel Williams transitioned on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital.
