June Ann Moore, age 94, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Lexington Park Assisted Living in Topeka.

June was born the daughter of John William and Ethie Myrle (Hill) Pool on June 29, 1926 in Horton, KS. She graduated from Circleville High School in 1944. She then attended Washburn University, Kansas State University and the U.S. Air Force Depot Supply School.

After her education, June was employed as a civilian at Hill Army Air Force Base in Utah and Hickman Air Force Base in Oahu, Territory of Hawaii. She loved Hawaii and had wonderful memories of her time spent there. After returning from Hawaii, she worked for the Kansas Turnpike Authority, National Reserve Life Insurance, and owned and operated Moore Retail Liquor store. June retired in 1990.

She married Thomas P. Moore on November 16, 1957 in Sabetha, KS. Thomas passed away on August 11, 2000.

June was of the Catholic faith. She thoroughly loved to travel, cook, host dinner parties and entertain. She was an exceptional woman who was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sister, Rhoda J. Ward and many nieces and nephews who loved and admired her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas P. Moore; son, John Christopher Moore; sister, Doris J. Edwards and a brother, Howard M. Pool.

Cremation has taken place.

A Rite of Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
