Elliott, Katheryn Virginia, 91, passed away Sunday, March 7th, 2021. She was born May 2nd, 1929 to Victor Eugene Sleeper and Lulu Elizabeth Tabor Sleeper in Nashville, Kansas. Katheryn graduated from Isabel High school and went on to college in Oklahoma. After college she pursued a nursing career by completing her studies at Wesley Medical School of Nursing. While in nursing school Katheryn met and secretly married Donald Roscoe Elliott in July of 1950 and because women in the nursing program were not allowed to be married, they kept it secret for over a year. They were married for 34 years until Don passed in 1984, they had 6 children together. Katheryn enjoyed china painting and quilting, was active in prison ministry letters, garden club and making stuffed bears for children in the hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Roscoe and oldest son Mark Andrew. Katheryn is survived by her remaining children, Michelle Ford of Colorado Springs, CO, Tom Elliott of Garland, TX, Randy Elliott of Mulvane, KS, Janet Whitecotton of Marlow and Terri Dobbins of Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was making us laugh till the day she passed, at home, surrounded by her family. She will be greatly, greatly missed. Memorial Service: 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 14th, 2021 at College Hill Church of Christ in Mulvane.
