Jeffrey graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1979 and received his associate's degree from Ivy Tech. Jeffrey worked as a truck driver with Swift Transportation Company, and had previously worked in industrial maintenance at Oji Intertech in North Manchester, and as a laborer at RCA in Marion and Goldbar Livestock Equipment with his father and brother in Matthews.
Jeffrey attended Brookhaven Wesleyan Church. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. He was a Life Member of the National Rifle Association as well as a life member of Good Sam Club. Jeffrey enjoyed camping and traveling; Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee were his favorite destinations. He also liked boating. Jeffrey was a skilled repairman and enjoyed working on anything mechanical. More than anything, Jeffrey lived as a good Christian man who loved life and bringing joy to his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Jeffrey is survived by his sons, Jeremy T. (Christina) Evans of Upland and Josh Evans of Muncie; daughter, Jessica Evans of Upland; brother, Randall (Melinda) Evans of Matthews; 4 nieces; 3 nephews; several friends and his dogs, Molly and Katie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Evans and his mother, Janice Evans.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Jeffrey's life was held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN, with Pastor Tim Helm officiating. Burial followed at Jefferson Cemetery in Upland.
