Dale Eugene Hamilton, 59, of Oregon (formerly of Matherville, IL), passed away suddenly in his sleep on Friday, April 20th in Oregon.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 12th at the Eagle’s Hall in Matherville, IL. Burial will be at a later date in Farlow Grove Cemetery in Matherville. Cremation Rites have been arranged by Chappell of the Roses in Oregon.

Dale “Psycho Gene” Hamilton was born in Rock Island, IL to Dale A. Hamilton and Melba Hall Hamilton on May 28th 1958. He Graduated from Winola High School in 1976. Gene was a musician his entire life. He and his band “Psycho Gene and the Neonz” entertained locally throughout the early 80′s, even receiving regular air play on 99+ in the Quad Cities. Gene and his band moved to California in 1984. He played with several bands while there. Gene also worked in sales, and with computers.

Those who knew Gene, know that they will not meet another person like him. He was a talented singer, guitar player, artist and he was quite a funny guy.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Nick Lucas, Norman Lucas, Normans wife Chick, and a sister, Ella Mae McMeekan.

Gene is survived by his brother, Donnie Hamilton (Sandy) of Viola, Ill., A sister, Joanne (Lane) McMeekan, Sister-in-Law, Darlene Lucas, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends around the country.

Memorials may be given to the family.
