Robert Earl Brewer was born on July 12, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the only child of Earl Brewer and Effie Mae Patton Brewer.
He attended Indianapolis Public Schools #23, #17 and Crispus Attacks High School and Ivy Tech Community College.
Robert served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970 and was honorably discharged. He also served in the Army.
Robert was an employee of Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company for thirty-four years, retiring on February 20, 2004.
Robert professed a belief in Christ early in life. He was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. On September 9, 1978, he and his beloved Edith “Edie” Graves were married and blessed to enjoy nearly 43 years of love, friendship and companionship. He was a perfect example of a family man, a provider, a protector and a friend. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. Robert will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
