Mrs. Donna Byrd Price, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Price was born in Rome, GA on August 21, 1951, daughter of the late Herschel Lee Byrd, Jr. and the late Jewell Dean Kelley Byrd. Prior to her retirement, she served as Administrative Assistant to the Pastor at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. She was an active member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir.
Survivors include her husband, James R. “Jim” Price, to whom she was married on August 24, 1968; her daughter, Bethany Price Gordon (Neil), Rome; her son, Brandon Price (Becca), Rome; 4 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kiley, and Karoline Gordon, and Brock Price; a brother, Al Byrd, Loganville; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 11am at the graveside in East View Cemetery. Her Pastor, Dr. Philip May and her cousin, the Rev. Doyle Kelley will officiate.
Active pallbearers will include John Kelley, Eddie Smith, Don Smith, Seth Hines, Lee Clevenger, and Russ Dyer. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Hines, Ronnie Hutchins, Fred Bollinger, Danny Hutchins, and Anthony Holcombe. All should assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 9:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, P. O. Box 519, Silver Creek, GA 30173.
