In his early years Raymond learned to play saxophone and used his love of music and his talent to earn money playing in bands starting at age 14. He was later considered to be one of the best tenor saxophone players by his friend Stan Getz and others. The most memorable time in his jazz career was playing on Bourbon street in New Orleans.
Raymond owned and operated R. C. Price Company in Denver for over 20 years.
He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne where his company protected the United States during the Korean war.
Raymond was a proud Eagle Scout, and always supported scouting.
He enjoyed music, photography, bicycling, learning and practicing yoga beginning in the 1940's. He was very creative. He loved nature and the mountains especially. He was a great intellectual and learned Sanskrit to better practice yoga. His quest for knowledge caused him to learn and study all of his life.
