Born October 10, 1943 in Conewago Township, a daughter of the late Clarence Sweitzer, and the late Emma (Kefauver) Zirkle Sweitzer, she was retired from Osram Sylvania after 26 years of employment. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed Word Find, horror movies, and reading mysteries.
Mrs. Evans is survived by four daughters, Tina L. Mitzel, and her husband Dean, of York, Sherry E. Gingerich, and her husband Duane, of Dover, JoAnn S. Mitzel, and her husband Lloyd, of Manheim, and Jaime I. Johnson, and her husband Alfonso, of York; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Corey, Ashley, Andrew, Brandon, Elijah, and Christopher; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Edward Zirkle, of Manchester; and two sisters, Charlene Graffius, of Dover, and Shirley Haugh, of York. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney; a brother, Robert Zirkle; and a sister, Betty Gable.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with Pastor Johnny Edman, of Old Paths Baptist Church, officiating. Viewing will be 9-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, 900 South Arlington Avenue #134a, Harrisburg PA 17109.
