Elsie Jane Focken, age 88, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Elsie was born on March 23, 1932 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Fred W. and Pearl Jane (Merrill) Kingsley. She was raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma and attended school there. Elsie married the love of her life, Herbert Dale Focken on March 27, 1970. Elsie was a manager at various Coney-I-Landers for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, collecting Precious Moments figurines, and she loved her dogs. Elsie’s family was her world and she loved spending time with them. She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.

Elsie is survived by her husband, Herbert Focken of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; her children, Marsha Hill of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Vickie Eubanks of Enid, Oklahoma, Lonny Hood of Enid, Oklahoma, Mikel Melda and husband Jimmie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Michelle Repp of Wagoner, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sister-in-law, Pope Kingsley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred W. and Pearl Jane Kingsley; two sons, Jack “George” Hood and Ronny Hood; four brothers, Frank Kingsley, Charles Kingsley, Carl “Moon” Kingsley, and Big Boy Kingsley; two sisters, Mildred Lyle and Bessie Kingsley; and one grandson, Russell Curtis.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Services celebrating Elsie’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Pastor Chris Buskirk officiating. Elsie will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Nicholas Eubanks, Philip Wilson, Jeremiah Wilson, Carter Repp, Corbin Repp, and Cayden Repp.

Masks are recommended but not required and social distancing and other safety protocols will be followed. The service will be livestreamed at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/50043.
