Bob was born May 24, 1935, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late O.J. "Oscar" Farmer and Elizabeth Gilbert Farmer.
He was married to Sarah "Sally" Hatfield on March 28, 1959.
Bob was employed by Texaco Oil for many years as head of their marketing department. He took great pride in his job and was a devoted husband and father. He loved boating on his Carver cabin cruiser at Lake Monroe for many years. He had a passion for all things, cars, one of those being his annual family outing to the Indianapolis 500. Bob attended North Side Christian Church in New Albany, Indiana.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sarah "Sally" Farmer; children, Jay Farmer, David(Kristi)Farmer, Lisa(Bill)Johnson; grandchildren, Nicholas(Catalina)Farmer, BrieAnn(Mike)Black, Alec Farmer, Shelby Farmer, Addison Farmer, Kiefer(Angel)John, Trey Gahimer, Andrew Johnson, Molly Johnson, Jessica(Jeremy)Terao; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Johnson, Emily Farmer, Aiden Kamen and Karter John; and a brother, Richard Farmer.
There will be a visitation Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 12:30 until 1 p.m., with a service immediately following at 1 p.m. at Gill Funeral Home, 308 Walnut St., Washington, with Pastor Byron Holtsclaw officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
