Doris C. Clark Age 102 of Horseheads, NY went to Heaven to join her husband Lewis on Sunday March 7, 2021. Doris was born April 6, 1918 in New Brunswick, NJ the daughter of the late Melville Alonzo Colson and Ethel Baker Colson. She graduated from Elmira Business Institute and was a legal secretary at Sayles and Evans Law Firm in Elmira, NY. Doris married her husband, Lewis B. Clark, on March 28, 1945 and he pre-deceased her on May 17, 2009. She was also a Bookkeeper/Secretary for The Chemung County Historical Society in Elmira, NY. Doris was the last of of five sisters and was pre-deceased by Olive Wengel, Dorothy Colson, Norma Garrison, and Mary Wojnarek. She was a life-time member of The First United Methodist Church of Horseheads. Doris loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Patricia A. and Donald Coats of Horseheads, NY; granddaughter: Cindi Coats of Horseheads, NY; great grandson: Cameron Johnson of Horseheads, NY; grandson: Darren and Maria Coats of North Tonawanda, NY; God daughter: Barbara Propester Houggatti of Carlisle, PA ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends including her caregivers at Bethany Manor.
