Earnestine McCree Kennedy was born to Johnnie and Lula McCree on August 12, 1946 in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age at St. James A.M.E. Church. She later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Earnestine was joined in holy matrimony to James Kennedy for 37 years and forever in spirit as they are reunited. She dedicated 35 years of service at the Flamingo Hilton and as a member of the Culinary Union where she then retired.
Proceeding her death is her husband James Kennedy, her two daughters Kimberly and Jamie Kennedy, and her parents, Johnnie and Lula McCree. Earnestine was survived by her daughters Vanessa Lindsey, (Stephen) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Vanita Walker of Las Vegas, Nevada, her sons James Walker III, (Marla) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jermane Kennedy, (Alana) of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also leaves behind her sisters Naomi Williams of Birmingham, Alabama, Ruth Taylor of Las Vegas, NV, Arnetta Robinson of Birmingham, Alabama, Diane McCree of Birmingham, Alabama, her brothers Johnnie McCree, (Shirley) of Birmingham, Alabama and Larry McCree, (Carlette) Birmingham, Alabama. Grandchildren Jennifer Fawzy, Kimberly Lindsey Hooker, Stephen Lindsey, Ashley Walker, Troy Wilson, Martell Walker, Kiera Lindsey, Quincey Lindsey, D’Angelo Lindsey, Rashad Lindsey, Kharisma Smith, Trevor Lindsey and Xavier Kennedy.
