David Cleveland Stevenson, Sr (Pop) of 1030 Topping Lane in Hampton, VA died at the age of 83 on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Nansemond County (Suffolk). He joined the Navy at the age of 18 and retired from active duty as Chief Petty Officer in 1980. He then worked in Civil Service for another 24 years. He would later attend classes at St. Leo University where he received an Associate Degree in Psychology.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Mae Stevenson and his eldest son David C. Stevenson, Jr. He leaves behind his daughter, Debbie R. Walker (Bobby) and son Ricky R. Stevenson (Shirley), six grand children, 2 great grand children and many other relatives and friends. David (Pop) had a kind soul and a very giving nature. He would make friends wherever he went. He will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to have crossed his path. RIP sweet, sweet Pop.

A Graveside service will be held 03-10-21 at 2:00pm at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
