Laura Dale wed James W. Alexander January 18, 1952 in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas. After graduating from Highland Park High School in Topeka, Laura worked as a teller at a bank and also moonlighted as a dance insturctor where she met her husband who was stationed with the Air Force. They made their first home in Omaha, Nebraska, then California for a couple years before moving to Birmingham, Michigan where Jim was employed in the auto industry. They were parents of three sons, Mike, Dave and Todd. She was a runner up into her 60's and very active in church activities. She was the last living of her siblings, Clyde (Bud), Lillian, Doris and Ed.
