Liz was born in Waukegan, Ill. She was the daughter of Pietro and Beatrice DePerte. She was educated at Waukegan High School.
On Feb. 3, 1951, she married David Tilley.
She recently retired from her bookkeeping position at WOXO radio station. Prior to that she was employed at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Norway Laundry, Snocraft, Wilson's Dollar Store, W.T. Grant, and L.M. Longley as a bookkeeper.
Liz was involved in many community organizations including Norway Fireman's Association/Auxiliary, Phythian Sisters and Norway American Legion Auxiliary. She volunteered at Togus, the Stephens Memorial Hospital cafeteria and Guy E. Rowe School cafeteria. She was also a den leader for Cub Scouts.
Liz handled her life with perfection. Her priority was others' happiness and she always put herself last. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the matriarch of her family and served that position with pride and with hope of remembrance.
The greatest joy in her life was to be surrounded by her family and she loved them all deeply.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, David, of Norway; her children, Steven and his wife, Patricia, of Biddeford, Christine and her husband, Dennis, of Norway, Duane and his wife, Susan, of Norway, and Paul of Norway; her sisters, Angie and her husband, John, of Rockford, Ill., and Martha Of Elizabeth, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Tracey, Jeremy, Erin and her husband, Nate, Alison, Zack, Matt, Tyler, Stephanie and Christian; and her great-grandchildren, Colin and Cassadi.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Tony and Joe DePerte; and her sister, Sara Kelly.
