Edward F. Ryan, Jr., of Gillette, N.J. formerly of Springfield, N.J. passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, N.J. at the age of 76.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, N.J. on Tuesday, March 9th from 9:00-10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, South Street, New Providence, N.J. Interment will be held at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, N.J. For those wishing to attend the Mass virtually, a live stream link will be made available shortly.
Edward was born in Summit, N.J. to Lucy (Eakley) and Edward F. Ryan, Sr. He lived in Springfield for many years prior to moving to Gillette. Edward worked on the Stock Exchange for Josephthal & Co., New York City and later for New Jersey American Water in Short Hills until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants.
Edward is survived by his 5 sisters: Catherine Keating, Elizabeth Kane, Mary Jupin, Ann Suchniak and Margaret Ryan, his 2 brothers: James Ryan and Daniel Ryan, his devoted sister-in-law and friend, Frances Zichichi and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Edward was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Barbara A. Ryan and his brother, Patrick Ryan.
