Virginia Duvall Bennett of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Elmcroft of Salisbury.
She was born on September 14, 1935 in Worcester, MA, to the late Edward W. and Barbara Charter Duvall. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She was a very content and wonderful homemaker. In addition to her talents of painting and creating art from a recipe, she loved being at home caring for family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her many close friends, and always appreciated a fine wine, and collecting souvenirs from travel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard "Dick" Bennett; sons, Robert Bennett, II and wife, Stephanie, Glenn Bennett and wife, Donna; brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; sister-in-law, F. Tenney Lantz; grandchildren, Robert Bennett III, Jenna Bennett, Noah Bennett; and step grandson, Jason Maley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a service following at 2:00 PM at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Gipe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Presbyterian Church Development Fund, 9425 W NC 152 Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28115.
