OBERLIN -- Beatrice V. Wolfram, 84, died Tuesday (Oct. 9, 2007) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

She was born April 23, 1923, in Traer, Kan., to Simeon and Agnes Helms (Pirkl) McCoy. She grew up on a farm near Traer and attended Traer Grade School. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1941 and attended Normal Training to teach school.

She taught school before marrying Henry Wolfram on Aug. 8, 1945, in Herndon. She later worked as a dietary aide at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin. They lived in Traer, WaKeeney and Oberlin.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Oberlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simeon and Agnes McCoy and infant sister, Mildred Elizabeth McCoy.

Survivors include her husband, Henry of Oberlin; son, Larry and wife, Sandra of Liberal, Kan.; daughter, Connie and husband, Curtis Meixner of Arkansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Royce Leitner officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Friday after 8 a.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Beatrice Wolfram Memorial Fund.
