Norman Sammy Nelson, age 89, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 3:24 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born December 22, 1931, in Christian County, Missouri, the son of late Glenn and Bula (Jackson) Nelson.

Norman was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Era and was a machine operator for a clothing manufacturer. He was a member of the Christ Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona and loved to read novels by Zane Gray and Louis L'Amour.

On July 5, 1952, he married Ruby Ann Estes in Harrison, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2002.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery in Marionville, Missouri.
