Colby Jason Harris 11, of Collinsville Alabama passed away peacefully at UAB Childrens Hospital in Birmingham on March 5, 2021. Originally from East Ridge TN, his family moved to Alabama to start his dream farm and raise chickens. Colby was an honorary member of the Sequoyah Fire Dept. in Soddy Daisy TN, the East Tennessee Riders Motorcycle Club, and the Meigs Co. TN Police Dept.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Weathers Veal; great-uncle J.D. Harris; and great friend Skip Hughes.
Colby is survived by his parents Jerry Harris & Lori Weathers Harris; brother Robert Harris; sisters Elizabeth Harris and her fiancé Seth Hughes, Darla Harris, Gabby Harris, “Girlfriend” Mary Gargus; and grandparents Sylvia & Homer Harris; aunt Angela Templeton; and uncle Jerry Weathers Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Monday March 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Lea officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday in the parlor of the funeral home. A burial will follow at Tennessee – Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville
