Mrs. Putman was a native of Fingerville, SC and the daughter of the late Myrtle Blackwell Cowart and Robert L. Cowart. She was a loving mother and grandmother, her passion was her family. She was a member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Jerry Lawhorn and Joseph Edwin Putman Jr. (Heather), five grandchildren, Shelby Putman, Dawson Putman, Journee Lawhorn, Samantha Condrey and Usher Dickens, brothers, Wayne Cowart and Curtis Cowart, and sister, Rita Holcombe.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Joe Blackwelder and The Rev. David F. Ervin. The family will speak to friends following the service.
