She was a long term resident of Kingsport. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. Ruth never met a stranger and she loved spending time with her family. She was everybody's friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Mary Renick; brother, Mike Renick; several aunts and uncles; two nephews; and sister in law, Jeanette King.
She is survived by her soul mate of 43 years, Tommy Simpson (of the home); daughter, Stephanie Escoe (Kingsport, TN); grandchildren, Wesley Escoe (Kingsport, T), Matthew Brown (Johnson City, TN), and Charles Grindstaff (Kingsport, TN); brother, Steve Renick (Brownsville, KY); sister-in-law, Ruth Retzlaff (Caneyville, KY); uncle, Zeke Renick (Cave City, KY); several nieces and nephews; and best friend; Robin Penix.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life.
