Cristina-Colleen D. Mitchell, 52, of 2857 Strawberry Road, Chatham, Virginia, departed this life Friday night, December 12, 2014 at her residence.Born July 24, 1962 in Rocky Mount, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Rosetta Marie Myers Mitchell and Irving Mitchell, Sr., who survives.Miss Mitchell was a graduate of Chatham High School and furthered her education at Mary Washington College, with a double major in French and Spanish. She was last employed as a secretary with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC and was a member of the Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Hospitality ministry.In addition to her father of Chatham, Virginia, Miss Mitchell is survived by a sister, Denise Jones (Derrick) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one brother, Irving E. Mitchell, Jr. of Chatham, Virginia; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church, Dry Fork, Virginia with Dr. Doris Morrison, officiating and the Rev. Wallace V. Powell, Jr., eulogist.
