Acie E. Ray, 80, of Howell, Mich., died Saturday, May 7, 2011.
He was born in Pikeville, Aug. 10, 1930, the son of the late Archie and Cora Lee Newsome Ray.
He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years, was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War; and was a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Adron Fields; one sister, Draxie Blair; and one granddaughter, Kelsey Allison Ray.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Stone Ray; four children, Brian Ray, Cheryl Gorski, Brenda Selby and Annette Thibodeau; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 10, in the Borek Jennings Funeral Home Chapel, Howell.
