Charles “Bud” Garrett, 94, of Beal City passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021, at home with his family by his side. Charles was born November 4, 1926, in Nottawa Township, son of the late Elmer and Ethel (Courser) Garrett. Charles married the love of his life, Mina Keysor, on September 14, 1946, in Harrison MI. Together they raised their nine children on their family farm in Beal City. He enjoyed fiddling, square dancing and square dance calling. He was a member of the National Fiddler’s Association. He also enjoyed camping with his family. Charles worked on a farm for most of his life, 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife Mina; children, Annita Wilson of Winchester, VA., Sheila (Ted) DeRore Jacques of Livingston, TN., Emilie Johnson of LaFayette, TN., Charlie II (Lynne) Garrett of Mt. Pleasant, Joseph (Lois) Garrett of Leslie, John of Omaha, NE., Ben (Mary) Garrett of Portland, OR., and Delbert (Malissa) of LaMarque, TX.; 25 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents, daughter Janet Leiter and grandchild Neil Martin. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at the Two Rivers Cemetery in Deerfield Township.
