Rodney Edward Wade (Pepaw) 74, of Valdosta, Ga. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 03, 2021. He was born to the late George Edward & Myrtle L. Wade. Rodney retired from the Georgia State Tourist Information Center. He was a loving Daddy & Pepaw to all. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to football & music. He was of Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Wendy Wade Robinette, (Harold Robinette Jr.), Gabriel Boon, Valdosta, Lance & Tricia Wade, McDonough, Ga., Stephanie Wade, Lake Park, Stacie Thomas, Lake Park; 1 sister Anita Chandler, Colorado. He has 12 grandchildren, Kimberly & Jonathan Barrentine, Cody & Marisa Robinette, Gage Young, Sarah Wade, Micah Wade, Anna Grace Wade, Zoe Wade, Luke Peters, Amber Bennett, Wade Bennett, Kayla & Colton Guess, George Thomas Jr., 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 3 sisters and a special companion, Linda Golden.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, March 07, 2021 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Berlin, GA, with The Rev. Clyde Sirmans officiating.
