Brian Michael Nielsen "The Gentle Giant", 31, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born on February 20, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky to Celeste Nielsen and Brian Green. He was a carpenter by trade. Brian was very creative and loved to make things to give to others. He was known by everyone as "The Gentle Giant" because of his size and he had a heart the size to match. He adored every one of his nieces and nephews and enjoyed playing with them for hours on end. His sisters knew that no matter what they needed, he was just a phone call away. He had a heart for all animals, but he especially loved his dog-child, Peanut. He was the best son, brother and uncle that anyone could ask for and he will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Sedler.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Celeste Nielsen and Brian Green; sisters, Ashley Nielsen (Dustyn Brown) and Chelsea (Victor) Mateo; nieces and nephews, Kingstyn, Rico, Kielynn, Noah, Jaeley, Kaisyn, Aiden, Mia and Lia; his beloved dog-child, Peanut; and grandparents, Doug and Wanda Green.
A service to celebrate his life will take place at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). The family will accept guests for visiting prior to the service from 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in Brian's honor to the American Heart Association.
