On the 19th day of December 1932, a son was born on the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean - Montserrat in Harris village. He was named Peter Simon White. In Montserrat Peter was noted for farming and being a craftsman. He made knives, tambourines, and baked some of the best bread. Peter White was a hard-working, gentle soul who did not smile very often but when he did it was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

He married his wife Rosamond in Montserrat and together they celebrated 54 years of faithful marriage. He served his family well faithfully taking care of their children, cooking (including baking) cleaning, washing. Peter and his family immigrated to Boston, Ma from Montserrat 44 years ago. He began working at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1978 where he remained until his retirement in 1996.

Peter was a member of Bethel in Montserrat first starting in 1974 when he was baptized. He faithfully served the house of Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church baking bread for the many fund raisers the church performed. He served under Bishop Thomas J Weeks and Bishop Gwendolyn Weeks. His faithfulness in his attendance resulted in his being affectionately termed the Deacon of midday prayer. He made sure the women attendees were taken care of providing rides to and from prayer and sharing smiles with all. Peter was a praying man to the end as the hospital nurses bore witness; they commented on his love and devotion to his God. He was a faithful attendant at Sunday Morning Bible Study earning numerous awards for attendance and participation.

Peter is preceded in death by his son Ralston and leaves to mourn his passing his wife for life Rosamond White of Boston Ma; sons Trevor and John of London, England, his 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. As well as a host of family and friends that are too numerous to mention.
