Kimbolton - Daniel Howard Carr, 67, of Kimbolton, Ohio and winter resident of Hawthorne, Florida, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Hawthorne following an extended illness.
Born in Cambridge, Ohio, Dan had resided in Kimbolton since 1996 and a winter resident of Hawthorne since 2007.
He served honorably as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Dan had worked several jobs over the years including owning and operating a logging business, as a home builder and run a scrapping business from bridges being torn down.
He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1337 in Newcomerstown, Ohio. In his leisure time, Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Ann Carr.
Dan is survived by a daughter, Debra Helms (Eric) of Dresden, OH, a son, Daniel Benjamin "Ben" Carr of Kimbolton, OH, a brother, Ed Carr (Fran) of Adamsville, OH, 5 sisters, Linda Wolfe of New Hope, OH, Sherry Spencer of Dillon, OH, Gin Stinson of Chesnee, SC, Ann Swearingen (Jeff) of Greenville, SC and Rita Newton (Roger) of Louisville, OH, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services celebrating Dan's life will be on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Kimbolton, OH.
