Gary Lynn Rose, 73, of Pekin, passed away at 2:08 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Hallmark Healthcare in Pekin.
Born September 6, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Stanley and Joyce (Daugherty) Rose, he married Anne Marie Butler on October 19, 1974 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Korey (Cassie) Rose of East Peoria, Matt Rose of Pekin, Chris Rose of Pekin; 5 grandchildren, Trinity Rose, Camden Rose, Emily Rose, Taylor Rose, Jordyn Rose and one brother, Steve Rose of Cedar Rapids, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary moved to Pekin in 1972.

He worked for Eagle Food Center for 35 years, retiring in 2000 as a head meat cutter.

Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed youth sports with his sons and other children in the community.

Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
