On Thursday, March 4, 2021, Mary Doris McGuire loving wife and mother of 4 passed away at the age of 90. Mary (known to her family as Doris) was born on February 13, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to William Edwin and Anna Lillian (Montgomery) Morris. She had 13 brothers and sisters; William, Mildred, Bernie, Patricia, Catherine, Margaret, Robert, John, Walter, Joseph, Carolyn, Richard, and Alice. On August, 22, 1953, she married Jerry Neal McGuire. They raised three daughters, Deborah Lynn (Debbie), Mary Kathleen (Kathleen) and Margaret Sue (Peggy), and one son Michael John (Mike) in Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, and South City St. Louis, MO before settling in Bridgeton, MO in 1970.

Mary had a passion for her grandchildren, of which she had 18, and 30 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed relaxing and spending time with all of them on the beach at the couple's chalet in nearby Innsbrook Estates. She also enjoyed cooking, canning food and sewing. She sewed everything from pajamas to prom dresses for her family and friends through the years. She also enjoyed watching her favorite game show (Wheel of Fortune) every night with her husband (of 68 years) Jerry.

Mary was preceded in death by her father William, and her mother Anna, and 11 brothers and sisters. she is survived by her husband Jerry, her children Debbie (Mark) Sauer, Mary (John) Gemoules, Maggie (Jim) Steitz, and Mike (Vicki) McGuire, her sisters Margaret Parra, and Carol Can, 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will held Thursday, March 11, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). Funeral Mass Friday, March 12, 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln (Maryland Heights). Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Helping Hands Group at Holy Spirit Parish or Project Rachel
