Evan Charles Duncan
July 19, 2004 ~ February 27, 2021 (age 16)

Obituary
Evan Charles Duncan entered this world on July 19, 2004, in Oklahoma City, OK. His parents Jinjer and Ronnie recognized early on his life would be one of serving and caring for others. Evan always encouraged others and looked for ways to brighten their day, even up until his passing on February 27, 2021.

Evan attended Yukon Public Schools, making numerous friends while excelling in advanced classes. Evan's talents included playing the piano since age three and advancing to drums. Evan's musical talents led him to a prestigious position on the Yukon Drum Line, playing Bass Drum 3. Even though Evan didn't willingly choose the spotlight, those around him were witnesses to the light that radiated from his life.

Evan's life heard a different song in September 2020, after receiving the news of fast-spreading childhood cancer. The news of this cancer shocked his family and friends, but Evan responded, holding his head high, wearing a smile on his face, and continued to do what he did best: bringing joy and happiness to others. He was 'Never Gonna Give Up' even to the last moment. He continued to play jokes, laugh with friends, and carried himself with kindness and love. Evan certainly made an impression on all those who knew him. His friends and family will carry his legacy of a positive spirit and a light-hearted approach to life.

Evan Charles Duncan has joined those who have gone before him, including his Grandmother Yvonne Duncan and Brother Kyle Duncan. Those who wait to see him again include his Mother Jinjer Duncan with Nick Cook, Father Ronnie Duncan with Michelle Scionti, Brothers James and Aaron Duncan, along with Grandparents Robert and Penney Shook, Grandfather Dean Duncan, Aunt Paula Duncan, and Uncle Dustin and Aunt Sheila Shook.

The life of Evan Charles Duncan will be celebrated on Saturday, March 6 at 2 PM at Discovery Church in Yukon. The service for Evan Duncan will be recorded and posted on this page for a virtual experience. This service does not have a live option at this time.
