Sharon M. Spangler of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Age 70 years. Sharon Marie Thomas was born June 2, 1943 in Saginaw to the late Daniel and Emma (Berg) Thomas. She married Donald Spangler August 8, 1964. He survives her. Sharon was a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. She retired from her job at Kmart in 2003 after 20 years of service. Sharon enjoyed reading and traveling to Laughlin, Nevada. She worshiped her family and was greatly loved by her husband, children and grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are two wonderful daughters, Trudy (John) Ryder and Wendy (Brian) Awad; five grandsons, Nathaniel, Ahren, Noah, Rylan and Ryse; brother, Kenneth Thomas; sister, Kimberly (Mark) Eimers; sister-in-law Laetta (Gene) Meyers; special friends, Judith and Edward Alvarez, many nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Funeral service will take place 11 AM Monday, December 23, 2013 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Michael Hahn will officiate with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on Sunday from 2PM to 4PM and 5PM to 8PM and at the church on Monday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial offering to Faith Ev. Lutheran Church or COPD Foundation.
