Timothy David Wright
DECEMBER 14, 1951 – MARCH 2, 2021

Timothy David Wright, 69, of Roswell, GA left this earth and was welcomed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 2:22AM after a hard-fought battle against COVID-19. He was surrounded by the love and support of his three children and the tirelessly dedicated medical workers at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Born on December 14, 1951 as Timothy Duncan Harvey, the youngest of six children, to Donald and Mildred Harvey, Tim grew up among the white sandy beaches and glittering surf of Pensacola, FL. He was drawn to the water as a surfer in his youth and as a rescue diver in early adulthood. Tim later moved to the Atlanta, GA area, officially establishing the stage name of Timothy David Wright to support his acting and networking efforts and as a tribute to his beloved late brother, David. Over the course of his 30 years in the city, Tim successfully developed his independent handyman business, and in recent years in partnership with his son, had begun expanding the niche market for steam shower and water filtration system installation to service the greater Atlanta, southeastern area, and beyond.

As he worked toward personal success, Tim sought to give back to others in the community with volunteer efforts such as starting a food ministry that collects the overstock from local grocery stores and delivering it to recovering addicts and others in need. He also utilized his independent business as a platform for training others to become more financially independent, including individuals making the transition from addiction recovery and prison, who needed a second chance at life.

Tim’s appetite for the adventure of life was matched only by his hunger for food and his ability to clean, not only his own plate, but everyone else’s at the table. Tim was capable of turning any stranger into a friend and lived each day striking up conversation, handing out his business card, and spreading his infectious vibrancy to each person he encountered. He loved traveling, singing, and laughing until his eyes watered.

Tim is survived by his children, Timothy Duncan Harvey, Jr., Charity Mobley (Adam), and April Boyer (Brad); grandchildren, Lily Boyer, Noah Boyer, Sasha Harvey and Joseph Harvey; siblings, Robert Harvey (Penny), Phillip Harvey, and Julie Harvey; nephews, David Harvey and Justin Harvey; niece, Gillian Bittle (Rex); fellow adventurer and companion, Sabine Flynn, and long-time barbecue buddy, Bruce Swartz, as well as the unimaginable number of individuals whom Tim chatted up, conversated with, and made to smile with his joy, goofy dad jokes, and bubbly personality.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mildred Harvey; sister, Elaine Burnett; brother, David Harvey; and nephew, Benjamin Harvey.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to benefit charitable causes dear to Tim’s heart via his Memorial Fund at https://gofund.me/2450cd9e.

Tim will be laid to rest at Bayview Cemetery in Pensacola, FL on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00PM (CST) with a graveside service (weather permitting). The family will be receiving guests for visitation at the Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel at 2:00 PM.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude towards the medical staff at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA for their compassionate and constant care for both Tim and his family during his illness.
