Graveside funeral services for Mr. Paul Clenney, age 80, are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Scotts Hill Pentecostal Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Clenney passed away on Wednesday in Lexington. He was born January 16, 1941 in Decatur County to the late Lonnie Gilbert and Willie Sue Allen Clenney. He was a retired mechanic, known far and wide for working on Volkswagons. He was a National Guard Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 243 and Stringtown Pentecostal Church. He loved violin music and gardening. Mr. Clenney was preceded in death by his son, Mr. Alan Wayne Clenney; a brother, Thomas Clenney; and a sister, Diane Clenney. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Katie Hill Clenney; two daughters, Alicia Scott (Larry) and Denise Thomas (Kelly); a brother, Travis Clenney (Barbara); his grandson, Sean Adams (Kasey); and two great granddaughters, Lilyanna and Scarlett Adams. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM – 1 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. All visitors should wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to American Legion Post 243 at P.O.
