David R. Harbison, 78, of Falls Creek, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Dave was born Aug. 30, 1942, to the late Charles and Alice (Burbank) Harbison, he was a graduate of Har-Brack High School, Natrona Heights, Class of 1960.

Dave continued his education, earning a bachelor's degree at Clarion State College, Class of 1964, and earned a master of secondary education at Duquesne University. For 33 years, he was a high school teacher. For a short time, he taught in the Sayre area and relocated back to Pittsburgh, teaching at Mt. Lebanon High School and Churchill High School, which later was renamed Woodland Hills High School. Dave was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the American Taekwondo Association as a black belt.

Dave is survived by wife, Josette C. (Burkhouse) Harbison, of Falls Creek; daughter, Diana L. Mangini; and grandsons, Roman (Brook) Mangini and Ian Mangini; stepsons, Stacy (Kelly) Park and Andrew (Erin) Park; grandchildren, Keenan and Liadan Conner-Park.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Metzler; a granddaughter, Rachel Mangini; and a grandson, Tiernan Conner-Park.

Interment will be in Smith Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, Pa.
