Mr. Jimmy Griffin of Flint, Texas, went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side on March 2, 2021 at the age of 73.

Jimmy was born on November 14, 1947 to S.R. Griffin and Laura Louise Renfro Griffin in Tyler Texas. He was a graduate of John Tyler High School and went on to serve in the US Army. Upon his return he accepted a position as a City Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. He retired from there in 2003 with thirty years of dedicated government service. In 1985, he met the love of his life Linda and they shared 36 years of marriage. He was an avid Sportsman and loved the outdoors. He loved to deer hunt and fish the local lakes.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Timothy Griffin, Gay Glass and her husband Brian, Kylie Prudhomme, Michelle Wheeler, and Mary Newman and her husband Wally. He is also survived by sister Mary Louise Jenkins and nephew Kevin, Sister-in-law Lilly Defife, and Brother-in-law Scott Pearce.

Jimmy had six grandchildren. Peyton Glass, Parker Wainwright, Kady and Kaden Spears, Brooklyn Lede, and Madison Newman.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Boren-Conner Funeral Home, 550 S. Dr. M Roper Parkway, Bullard, Texas on Wednesday March 10, 2021 from 3pm-5pm. The family will receive visitors any time during those hours.
